180 minutes (Part 1: 170, GK: 10). +1 for a correct answer, −0.25 for a wrong one. After 8 unanswered questions, each further unanswered question in Part 1 costs 0.10. What is the XAT 2027 exam pattern?
95 questions in 3 hours: QA & DI 28, Decision Making 21, VALR 26 (Part 1, 170 minutes) and General Knowledge 20 (Part 2, 10 minutes). Each question has five options.
When is XAT 2027?
Sunday, 3 January 2027, 2 pm to 5 pm. Registration is open until 6 December 2026.
What is the penalty for unanswered questions in XAT?
The first 8 unanswered questions are free. Each unanswered question after that costs 0.10 marks, in Part 1 only.
Does GK count in XAT?
No, GK does not count towards the XAT percentile. XLRI may use it in its own final selection.
